Papillon “ Patches” Digital Design handmade notecards –This shiny star named “Patches” is from Florida and is a lucky pampered pet loved by his human family. I was commissioned to design on a digital artistic style using photo manipulation. Final Product was several note card gift sets and address labels. . . Sharing our common intererest of love to animals and Art - Special thanks to "Patches' Mom for sharing about her pampered Papillon with Timeless Memories Art visitors. "He is our first papillon and our only experience but from what I have been told and heard from others, it tends to ring true for all papillons. First you do not own them, You are owned by them. They do not think they are dogs because they know they are as human as we think we are. This is proven out in many ways. While you are learning and teaching them, before you know it You have been well trained by your papillon. It happens so gradual you don't even realize it until someone points it out to you.    Patches is the first dog we have ever had that will stop and think before taking action. Like whats in it for me. He will obey when he feels like it. You might as well say,"Patches come up here and sit with me, if you feel like it." He really isn't quit that bad but he does respond better to me than my husband.And in fairness to Patches he does obey the really important commands like STAY, Come and No Sir!The first time we were in North Carolina at Lake Junaliski with Patches and we were walking along,saw some ducks on the bank (our other dog had loved to chase them into the water) Carl said "Patches get the duck" I said "not a good idea, again "let him go" "I don't think so", On his third request I let go. The duck had decided to fly off the wall and into the lake where he felt safe. Not so , Patches ran stopped long enough to set his feet and jumped in the lake to "GET THE DUCK" followed fast by Carl jumping in the lake to catch the end of the lead as Patches was swimming after the duck. Lucky for Carl he grabbed the lead and reeled Patches in. When he got on shore and we knew all was well we laughed and then heard more laughter coming from above us where several people had heard and seen the entire thing.The really interesting part about this story was Patches had never been in water before so we didn't know if he could swim, no problem head never went underwater. :-) Same trip we were driving in the car all day and had offered him food and water but he was to busy checking out this new world of mountains so wasn't interested in eating. Driving along I heard a sound, then a little louder finally I asked Carl what the sound was, thinking a car sound, by now the low growl had gotten louder, we realized it was Patch and he wanted something so we played the guessing game and BINGO food was it. He often uses this growl method to call Carl out of his office to come play on the couch. We are amazed everyday at his thinking skills.    He has his own mind and is so much fun to watch think things out. He loves to tree any squirrel in the yard, stomp his little feet around to make any lizards move so he can chase them.(never has caught either. Loves to go for bike rides with my husbands, tail wags the whole time sniffing the air.These are short in front of our house. Always knows when any of us get home even if in the back yard and he sees through the crack in the fence, he will run to be let in because we never let him out the gate. He loves my grandsons. We usually have them every Friday night and Saturday. A few weeks ago they couldn't come on Friday as usual, we of course were disappointed but didn't expect Patches would notice, WRONG, he kept going to the door and acting like someone was there. lay by the door. He did this for a couple of hours until we finally figured it out and told him his boys aren't coming tonight.  He loves to play Mister bitey bitey before settling down for sleep.He can be all curled up on my lap in bed and he will get up fluff out his coat and call my husband to come play. he barks and listens for his footsteps.when he does come he runs all over the bed chasing Carl's hands growling fiercely but if Carl.s face gets close it is always licky licky, Then he gets back tucked in on my lap and goes to sleep".  by Patches Mom             Custom Digital Art Photo Manipulation Gift set   Images must be e-mail at a higher resolution or mail regular mail ( Photos are returned with digital art print and gift cards) Client provides pet pictures and three to five reference photos to manipulate to create a digital photo composition.
